Charles has been passionate about space since he was a child, and came up with the original vision for Sen in 1991, aged 19.
Prior to founding Sen, Charles set up his first company, cloud computing business Nasstar, in 1998. Nasstar plc was admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange in 2005. Charles stepped down as CEO of Nasstar in 2014 in order to focus on Sen, pursuing his life-long dream to democratize space by streaming real-time videos from space for the benefit of all humanity.
Steve has spent over 20 years in Managed Service Providers (MSPs) gathering a wealth of experience in building and managing data centre and cloud solutions (public, private and hybrid) in many sectors including manufacturing, finance, legal, utilities, recruitment and property services.
He has a BSc in Computing Science and over the years in his senior management roles has driven the strategic technical development of the businesses he’s worked for including acquisition work, audits, platform consolidation, overseeing the build of a data centre and high quality office space, complex project work and troubleshooting across the world, comprising all components from the desktop to the data centre.
Matt joined the team full time in May 2017 having completed his PhD in computer vision and machine learning with topics including deep learning, caption generation, face and location recognition. Matt completed his undergraduate degree in electronic and computer engineering at the University of Surrey in 2012 (1st Class with honours). His degree included a 12 month placement at Sharp Laboratories of Europe working on software for head tracked 3D displays.
Brian is deeply passionate about space and has 14 years engineering experience in quality-certified design and manufacturing environments, with specific skillsets in radio, low-power electronics, and reliable long-life systems. Graduating BEng (Electrical) with Honours from the University of Queensland and starting out working on radar systems, he has since advanced through a diverse set of commercial industries and brings a wealth of modern electronics and firmware knowledge.
Jonathan has worked on space projects for 25 years, in software and systems engineering roles. He was Lead Systems Engineer for the RapidEye constellation of 5 Earth Observation spacecraft, (now owned by Planet). Jonathan’s experience includes working on the ground control systems for the XMM-Newton orbiting X-ray observatory and, prior to joining Sen, at Airbus on the software to control the European Space Agency’s ExoMars Rover. Jonathan studied Physics at Cambridge University before moving into engineering.
Nick graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 and became a Chartered Engineer in 2017. He is currently studying for an Msc in Astronautics and Space Engineering at the University of Cranfield in the UK. Nick has experience leading the design of heavy machinery from a mechanical and control architecture point of view and as a Systems Engineer
Marcin is passionate about spaceflight and experienced in designing as well as implementing satellite ground systems and mission-critical software. He previously worked on various projects in the space industry, including Earth imaging and video satellites, ground infrastructure, operations, as well as mission control and planning systems. He has a BEng 1st class honours in Electronics & Software Engineering, and MSc in Space Studies.
Chris has spent the last 13 years as a distributed systems engineer consulting across a large range of industries. He has designed and developed cloud software and infrastructure for some of the UKs biggest brands including Deliveroo, Lego, Compare the Market and Barclays. He specialises in building highly available, fault tolerant architectures that scale to millions of users.
Robert has a passion of working for companies which have a positive impact on our world. Robert previously worked in the sales team at Earth Observation start up Planet where he helped develop new markets and customers for their satellite imagery. Following Planet’s IPO, Robert joined Sen to lead the opportunity of bringing Sen’s video data to the U.S. market. Robert is focused on establishing sales strategies and processes that will enable Sen to redefine the possibilities and boundaries of the Earth Observation market.
Peter joined The Greenalls Group plc in 1977 and became CEO in 1993, building the Company to an annual turnover of £983 million and a FTSE market capitalisation of £1.7 billion, and taking it into the FTSE 100. Currently Peter is also Chairman of Auriant Mining. Previous Board roles have included Chairman of Nasstar plc, a cloud computing service provider, Chairman of Stellar Diamonds. He was also Chairman of Aintree Racecourse for 25 years.
Peter was a successful amateur jockey riding over 270 winners and was twice Champion National Hunt Amateur Jockey. He rode in the Grand National in 1975. He has an MA in history from Cambridge University and a Sloan Fellowship from London Business School.
Meagan is the Managing Partner of SpaceFund, a U.S. venture capital firm investing in space. As an entrepreneur, business educator, space industry pioneer, experienced executive, and investor, co-founded the world’s longest running space business plan competition, and has taught, coached, and advised hundreds of space startups through their earliest stages – including some of the current generation of successful companies. Currently host of the “Mission Eve” podcast.
Harry is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of international business experience, almost 20 as CEO/Company Director. Harry has a passionate interest in space science and technology, and has a degree in Electronic Engineering, a postgraduate MBA, a CertAps from the Open University in Astronomy & Planetary science, and is an accredited STEM Ambassador.
Harry is a Limited Partner in a number of Venture Capital funds. He is also Chairman of the HBAN London investment syndicate.
Lee is an Investor at Mercia Asset Management, an AIM-listed Institutional Investor with close to £1 billion of AuM. Lee leads on SpaceTech investments on behalf of Mercia’s VCT funds, as well as specialising in software and the life sciences. He is passionate about science and technology and holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Masters (Distinction) in Research Methods from the University of Manchester.
Lee has spent 11 years working in finance, including 7 years in Corporate Finance, and is a Chartered Management Accountant.

Jenny is a venture investor and venture philanthropist based in New Zealand. Formerly a senior partner in one of NZ’s largest law firms and lead counsel at the NZ Bar. Jenny founded Greenlight Ventures NZ and is a direct seed investor in ventures with global reach, many of which aim to democratise access to a sector or are strong examples of game-changing deep-tech and clean-tech innovation.
